Mr. Resh is a self-motivated strategic enterprise architect with an exceptional history of leading the turnaround of underperforming IT projects and strategies. Key player in organizational change with a strong background in enterprise infrastructure and architecture with experience developing high performance, fault tolerant web service and J2EE web applications including 12 years as VP Architecture at Fidelity Investments. Joining Emergent Payments in 2010 managing the development team in North Carolina, he subsequently assumed leadership roles in Operations and is focused on data center upgrades and data warehousing initiatives.
He possesses excellent hands-on development and operational skills with over 25 years of success in meeting mission critical software engineering challenges, rapidly discovering key issues underlying intractable problems. Persistent and efficient problem solver, acquiring new skills and techniques as necessary to meet objectives, encouraging others to adopt similar skills and best practices through active mentoring. A strong advocate of transparency, openness, and accountability to balance pragmatic need and strategic vision.
VP Merchant Solutions and Strategy
Mr. Chawla most recently served as Senior Director, Merchant Integration/Technical Account Management at Visa. He has extensive experience in technology integration, solutions architecture, digital commerce and global payments.
At PlaySpan (acquired by Visa in 2011), Mr. Chawla lead payment and commerce integrations for various high value merchants that are currently with or in the process of moving to Emergent Payments.
In addition to Global Payments, Mr. Chawla has domain expertise in Subscriptions, Virtual Economy, Supply Chain, Logistics and Mobile.
He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (Finance) from Santa Clara University and Bachelors of Engineering (Computer Science) from India. He is also a Certified Project Manager and Certified Scrum Master.
VP, Payments Engineering
Mike is a Silicon Valley industry veteran with over 25 years of software engineering and engineering management experience with companies such as HP, 3Com, Tandem, Gupta, Deploy Solutions, PSS Systems and Engage.com.
Prior to Emergent Payments, Mike held engineering management positions at four other successful startups: Gupta Corporation, Deploy Solutions, PSS Systems and Engage.com. At Gupta, Mike was a founding employee and one of the principal architects of the Gupta SQL Database Server. At Deploy Solutions, Mike was a founding employee, engineering manager and one of the principal architects of the Deploy applicant tracking system. At PSS, Mike was Director of Engineering for Policy Enforcement Solutions and an inventor or co-inventor on several patent applications for PSS. Mike was VPE at Engage where he led the development of an online dating web site which was then sold to Spark whereupon Mike became the principal consultant to Spark in the transition. At Emergent Payments, Mike is the platform architect and leading several of the technology development efforts.
Mike graduated with honors from the University of California, Irvine with a BS in Computer Science.
Sr. Director, Program Management
Mr. Sachdeva served as Project Manager and Senior Consultant at Frontline Consulting Services (acquired by Tek Systems). He offered product and technology consulting to global enterprises such as Electronic Arts, Boston Scientific, Genentech and Dish Network among others. He has extensive experience in enterprise integration, B2C, B2B, digital commerce and global payments.
Prior to joining Emergent, Mr. Sachdeva served as Ecommerce Product Manager and Solution Architect at Electronic Arts where he managed payment gateway partnerships, technical integrations and enhancements for EA Digital Commerce Platform. He also served on Organizational Risk and Governance committee to develop compliance & risk policies and solutions to address them for global commerce.
In addition to Ecommerce and Payments, Mr. Sachdeva has domain expertise in Enterprise Solutions, Business Process Management, Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing and CRM.
Mr. Sachdeva holds a Masters Degree in Computer Applications from MDU, India and Bachelors of Science (Mathematics). He is also a Certified Scrum Product Owner and Certified Pragmatic Marketing Product Manager.
Director, Program Management
Prior to joining Emergent, Sanjeev was with Symantec Corporation for more than 10 years. During his tenure at Symantec, he filled many roles within eBusiness and IT successfully. Most recently he was Senior manager in Billing and Payment Engineering. As senior manager he has developed a unique perspective on importance of managing resources, schedules, changes and quality in such a way that every project contributes to the success of the company. While in Symantec, Sanjeev has successfully built and supported payment applications and integrated it with various payment gateway/providers. He was also involved as Technical Manager in the development of Symantec auto renewal application for recurring billing which was a billion dollar business. He has managed and supported Norton's eStore online application through direct development of payment gateways, risk technology, compliance policy and fraud detection capabilities.
Prior to joining Symantec Sanjeev worked for VERITAS, Country Financial, Intellect SEEC in various roles such as Integration lead and Application Architect. He has an extensive experience in Enterprise Architecture, Design and deployment of systems across multiple platforms.
He holds Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) degree in Mining Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T) India. He is also a SUN certified Enterprise Architect (SCEA).
Director, Payments Engineering
Mr. Tang joined Emergent Payments in 2013, most recently served as Director, Payment Engineering. He leads the payment development team based out of Shanghai to cooperate with more than 50 global payment service providers, and integrated more than 200 payment methods. He also manages the China office and cooperates with the headquarters team on the setup of local business.
Prior to joining Emergent Payments, Mr. Tang served as Engineer, Sr. Engineer, Project Leader and Sr. Project Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers Technology Services and Mphasis. In addition to Global Payments, he has extensive experience in Workflow Engines, Enterprise integration, Mobile, and Insurance.
Anton Popov comes to Emergent Payments from Oracle Corporation, a global technology leader, where he served as an Information Security Architect, and later as Information Security Sr. Manager. At Emergent Payments, Anton leads, as well as being hands-on, operations and security teams with a focus on resource consolidation, high availability, and PCI compliance. Anton has over 20 years of experience in the operations and information security space. Anton is a CISSP and holds an Executive MBA from University of San Francisco and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from San Francisco State University.
Sr. Director, Program Management
Mr. Scott serves as Program Manager for Emergent Payments' Technology organization, helping to maintain focus for the high priority projects assigned to the division. In addition, Mr. Scott manages the internal analytics function at EP, helping to develop critical insights from the sea of data generated by EP's customers.
Before Emergent, Irv worked for a start-up called BrandPort, which was acquired by Emergent in 2011 for its advertising platform and technology. Joining as Director of Advertising Operations, he was responsible for running the advertising platform as well as developing EP's Engage technology platform, which was used to develop PC and mobile applications at Square Enix (Shinra), WWE, and Samsung. Prior to joining BrandPort, Irv worked at 3M in various engineering and project management roles, and somewhere along the line he learned enough Python and MySQL to fit in with a company full of software developers.
Mr. Scott holds an MBA from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and a BS in Engineering from Florida A&M University.
Director, Payments Engineering
Patrick has helped to build successful products in numerous fields including banking, online gaming, mobile dating, indoor mapping, stationary bicycle training, payroll processing, electroencephalography, video processing, satellite control systems, phase Doppler particle analysis, force feedback controllers, and finite element analysis. Patrick's prior contributions include low level device driver programming, performance optimization, security auditing including PCI and HIPAA certification, customer-facing documentation, internal process guidance, query optimization, and a copious amount of code. At Emergent Payments, Patrick is guiding the UI development team.
He holds a BA in Computer Science from the University of California at Berkeley.
Aleena Asif has been with Emergent Payments since 2008. She has been involved in the tremendous growth of the company since her start. Before joining Emergent, Aleena worked in both mid- to large-sized firms like CBS, Signal Outdoor. She has led accounting teams and provided management and consulting support to domestic and international clients. Passionate about crunching numbers, Aleena started her career in a CPA's office and soon passed all parts of the CPA exam.
Aleena has strong knowledge in all aspects of fund management, financial reporting and forecasting, accounting, and control procedures.
Aleena graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Finance from Baruch College.
